SanFran

Visiting the Smith Bulb Show last weekend made me think of my trips to San Francisco. The first time my mother and I visited the city we wandered into Golden Gate Park's Nature Conservatory. I instantly fell in love. The following are my favorite images from hundres of flower captured in two trips. These are my most used images from both trips.

This is the coy fish that I almost fell into the pond while trying to take a picture. Asshole.

Nice Bulbs

Hello Everyone! I apologize I know its been nine years since I lasted posted. No one reads this but my mother so...HI MOM I POSTED FINALLY!! Here are pictures of the fabulous and colorful tulips from the Smith College Bulb Show. The tulip to the left is a personal favorite and is called 'Tangerine Beauty'. I unfortunately nerded out within the first five minutes when I saw this tulip and loudly proclaimed "OMG! TANGERINE BEAUTY!" to a group of girls standing behind me. In case you were wondering, no they did not share my enthusiasm for this particular tulip. These are just a few of the bajillions of pictures I took today so I hope you enjoy.

OH and I made bacon cupcakes!

Tattoo with two Ts

Not much is going on this week so I and going to show a picture of the tattoo I got in NYC. Its all greased up and healing. Why would I get a giant tattoo on my ugly foot? Because I love it and my feet will always be ugly. I like to laugh and think about my foot when I'm 72 and see the tattoo fading to look like really gross veins. I look forward to it.

My trip to NYC

Times Square

Oyster Mushrooms!

My favorite part of visiting NYC was the open market in union square. Nothing like walking through vendors with bountiful produce!

Mountainhouse Beer Trail

Everyone knows you have to take a serious stretch before you hike.

God Bless the 10 second timer.

A plant. Growing in a hollowed tree. Nature is Awesome.

We made it to the top! Unfortunately there was no beer.

On my day off this week I decided it was critical that I climb Mt. Wachusett. I've always wanted to be a hiker and enjoy the outdoors but could never pry myself off the couch. However, today was different and I was able to begin to fufill that dream of being an earthy crunchy hiker. I was able to convince my friends to go with me and dragged them up a mountain with the promise of beer at the summit. I was almost certain there would be black bears with beer at the top....

Makin' Sauce

I do enjoy makin' sauce. The pinkish red stuff is my attempt at raspberry jam but it kind of failed. There wasn't enough pectin so the jam is really runny. So I'm pretending that I intended to make runny jam and I'm calling it TOAST DIP. I am working on the copyright and trademark. I know you're sad because you didn't think of it first.

The less attractive brownish slop is my more successful attempt at apple sauce. Deeee-lish! Turns out mashing apples is a total pain in the butt. Hooray for emulsifiers! I plan on making many more batches of applesauce because really can you have too much applesauce?

I am now pushing my jarred goodies on friends, family, strangers, significant others, foreigners, street performers, grandparents, etc. I can never tell if people actually think its good or if they tell me its good to spare my feelings. I am happy to live in my delusions of awesome sauce making.

Can I be a Farmer?

I was walking through the rows this morning I reached to grab a tasty courtland and I discovered these twins on the branch. I brought them back to the shed to show the other pickers coming in and ofcourse the first chubby toddler that I showed threw it on the ground. Brat.

WHY HAVE I NEVER BEEN IN LOVE WITH PUMPKINS BEFORE????? THEYRE BIG AND ORANGE AND HAVE TWISTY STEMS!!!! I now have a full-fledged, uncontrolled, gigantic PUMPKIN OBSESSION.

Courtland coloring is so lovely.

These are Gala apples and they are quite delicious. Speaking of delicious....they are cousins to Red Delicious apples. Bet you didn't know apples have cousins. They have a beautiful pink-reddish color and they really pop off the leaves. Galas are a really sweet crisp apple and I totally prefer tart apples like courtlands. Galas will just be in my pictures and not my stomach.

This is the Mule. Mule say hello to all 3 people who visit my blog. Yes I get to drive this! No I haven't crashed it or ran any children over yet.....

MORE AWESOME PUMPKINS

SOOOOOOOOOO In conclusion to this blog post....I want to be a produce farmer.
